The Prophets Do Speak
Lake of Darkness (Ps 107:14)
It was about six years ago, I had a dream. In that dream there was before me a lake of darkness. I don’t know how I got there, but it was deep, very dark and terrifying. I was standing on the side of the lake, when I heard a voice saying to me, “Why don’t you forget all your problems and jump into the lake”. I was tempted to obey the voice and jump into this very dark lake, and make an end to all my troubles, even if I never see the light again. As I contemplated to jump into the deep darkness, I felt a power that propelled me to leap to the top of a cliff, which was above the lake. As I stood there looking down at the lake. I realize it was the hand of God, who helped me leap to the top of the cliff. At that moment the dream ended. The following day as I meditated on this dream, I thank God who stretched his hand, and pulled me up to the top of the cliff. He kept me from ending my life in this dream, and gave me strength to face all my trials.
This dream is from a believer of a local church.

Dear brethren and participants, the believer who had this dream related to me, that at the time of this dream, he was going through very hard times. For a long time he was looking for a job and could not find one, along with other problems he was having. After this dream he was much encouraged. The hand of the almighty had propelled him upward, to higher grounds of trust and faith. He would have never seen the light for all eternity. Have he not believed in the Lord. Now he was stronger in faith, and soon after he found a job. This brother to this day is actively going on with the Lord.and.witnessing.for.Jesus.
The devil would have us leave the church, or commit suicide. He told Jesus exactly to this, “cast thyself down” (Lk 4:9), he comes to still and to kill (Jn 10:10). But Jesus came to give us life (Jn 3:16). One time St Peter was sinking into the water, the hand of the Lord lift him up (Mat 14:31). He can lift you up also out of all your trials. Perhaps dear reader, you gave up on God. Because of the problems you are going through. Maybe you are hearing voices, telling you there is no God. There is no hope for you, is better to be dead. Don’t listen to them, God will never tell you that. He says, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Heb 13:5). I say wait upon the Lord. As we wait even with a little faith. There will be a renewing of our strength, and we will not faint while we are going thru that difficult time (Isa 40:31). Even if there is nothing left, you can still rejoice and hope in God (Hab 3:17-18).
God is good to them that wait and seek after him (Lam 3:25). As our faith is tried with fire, at the coming of the Lord it will be praise and honor (1Pet 1:7). God has good thoughts towards you, and a plan for your life. Soon you will hear the words, “………. enter thou into the joy of the Lord” (Mat 125:23). Believe in him and pray to him, he’ll see you through (Jer 29:11-13).
